International Mission Board of the SBC
Suck Spring Baptist Church is involved with a variety of mission efforts to reach people for Christ.
As Southern Baptists, the primary way we direct our missions support is to the International Mission Board of the SBC. The IMB trains and supports almost 5000 missionaries serving in international locations to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. A portion of our general budget is given towards this great work. In addition, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions, collected during the month of December, goes directly to supporting these missionaries on the field.
North American Mission Board
In like manner, we support our Southern Baptist missionaries serving in North America through the North American Mission Board. A special emphasis during March is the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, which goes directly to support our missionaries serving throughout the United States, Canada, and North American territories. Our missionaries are impacting North America with the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism and church planting.
Because We Care Ministries
In the last several years Suck Spring Baptist has sent a volunteer team each year to Somotillo, Nicaragua, which is the second-poorest country in the western hemisphere. We partner with Because We Care Ministries to distribute food, medicine, clothing, and other basic supplies to surrounding villages and schools. It is always a joy to share the gospel and witness the spiritual growth of believers in Nicaragua.
World Changers & Beyond
As a church, we support other organizations at various times to meet various needs. We are always excited to see and be a part of what God is doing around the world! From our youth taking short-term trips with World Changers, to helping our local homeless shelter, we recognize our mission of reaching a lost world for Christ.
